From 22 to 31 October, 2018 Kompanion Bank will host Open Days in 35 of its offices all over Kyrgyzstan.

The events initiated by the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic and the German Savings Banks Foundation, in association with Kompanion Bank, will be organized to mark the World Savings Week and will be aimed at promoting a culture of savings and increasing financial literacy among the population.

Throughout October, the Bank’s staff will also be providing financial literacy trainings for schoolchildren all over the country.

Kompanion Bank has been involved in the World Savings Week celebrations for the third year in a row and has so far conducted over 200 financial literacy trainings.

On Open Days, visitors will be given tours around the Bank where they will learn more about Kompanion’s story, the history of the Kyrgyz national currency, and about the overall development of the banking system. Kids will have a chance to take part in exciting quizzes and workshop sessions and get presents from Kompanion Bank and the German Savings Banks Foundation.

The World Savings Days is an annual event which is usually celebrated on October 31. It was established in 1924 during the 1st International Savings Bank Congress.
