The Association of Microfinance Institutions (AMFI) has awarded Margarita Cherikbaeva, Kompanion Bank’s CEO, with an honorary title of an Overachiever in Microfinance for her long-term invaluable contribution to the development of microfinance in the Kyrgyz Republic. The award was presented by Alisher Akbaraliev, AMFI’s CEO. 

AMFI was established in 2005 with the main purpose to bring together microfinance institutions and other organizations in increasing access to credit resources for individuals and legal entities in the KR, mitigating credit risks, fulfilling collaborative projects, and protecting interests of lending institutions in the microfinance process.
