3 September 2015

A computer classroom was opened for orphans in Bishkek on September 2, 2015. This initiative is performed by the public fund “Safeguarding Orphans” and directed to enhance computer literacy of vulnerable youth. Foster children and graduates of boarding schools and foster homes will be able to gain basic working knowledge of PC free of charge.

Kompanion supported this project and provided necessary equipment for fully-fledged performance of courses. Representatives of the company participated in the opening ceremony of the computer classroom, which foster children and graduates of foster homes of Bishkek and Chui Oblast would attend.

“This social class of our population is badly in need of regular care and support. In particular, it relates to the education and further job placement of students and graduates of foster homes. Teaching computer literacy will give opportunity to children to adapt to modern society and increase chances to find a job” – said the director of the public fund “Safeguarding Orphans” Igor Belyaev.

Kompanion will continue supporting educational projects for Kyrgyzstan’s population within the scope of corporate social responsibility.
