Bank Kompanion Team in the EcoPark: Creating a Green Future Together
Employees of Bank Kompanion took part in a community cleanup and tree-planting event in EcoPark, located in the Karagachevaya Grove — a vital green space in Bishkek. This initiative is part of our broader environmental efforts and a reflection of our commitment to ESG principles — responsibility to society, the environment, and future generations.
Tree Species Recommended by EcoPark Experts Were Planted:
Plane tree (Platanus): a long-living shade tree that helps purify the air.
Ninebark shrub (Physocarpus): supports biodiversity and provides food for birds and small animals.
As part of the initiative, new benches and trash bins were also installed to make the grove a more comfortable and eco-friendly space for visitors.
We extend our sincere thanks to the student volunteers from the AUCA Innovation College for their active participation, ongoing support, and daily work in restoring the EcoPark's ecosystem!
After the planting, participants enjoyed a guided tour of the Karagachevaya Grove, learning about its unique ecosystem, home to 43 species of birds, small rodents, and many rare plants. EcoPark aims to preserve this natural environment in its most authentic state — and we are proud to be part of this mission.
Karagachevaya Grove is the largest and most unique urban forest in Central Asia.
Strategically located in the northeastern part of Bishkek, the grove plays a critical role in air purification and climate regulation for the city.
Environmental initiatives are more than just projects — they are a conscious choice to work for the benefit of nature, the city, and its people.
