Kompanion Bank: 18 charity events

Kompanion Bank celebrated its 13th anniversary on October 12, 2017. As a socially responsible institution, Kompanion arranged 18 charity events throughout the country instead of throwing a feast to mark the occasion. The number “18” was chosen for a reason—that’s how many branches of the Bank successfully operate in all regions of Kyrgyzstan.

The Bank staff was eager to join the initiative and was actively involved in the events. The bulk of the funds were spent to buy winter closing for orphan kids and kids raised in specialized institutions. With winter approaching, the aid was timely. Heaters, warm clothes and footwear, stationary, toiletries and detergents, school desks and roof repairs—the support was provided based on the needs of a particular institution of a family in need. Assistance (food and medicines) was also provided to WWII veterans and single seniors. The list of institutions that received support from Kompanion is provided below:

  • Orphanage of Safarovka village (Djalal-Abad oblast);
  • Jetkinchek kindergarten of Atay village (Djalal-Abad oblast);
  • Boarding school for deaf and mute children of Karasu region (Osh oblast);
  • Boarding school of Suliukta town (Batken oblast);
  • Rakhat orphanage of Mayluu-Suu town and specialized school for children with mental disabilities of Masy village (Djalal-Abad oblast);
  • K. Aknazarov orphanage of Kochkor (Naryn oblast);
  • Republican children's center for behavioral health of Ivanovka village (Chuy oblast);
  • Specialized boarding school of Dmitrievsk (Chuy oblast);
  • Boarding school for visually and acoustically challenged children (Osh city);
  • Kara-Kash retirement home (Djalal-Abad oblast);
  • Close-Knit Family orphanage of Semyonovka village (Issyk-Kul oblast); 
  • Children’s crisis centre of Kara-Balta town (Chuy oblast);
  • Too Bulbulu rehab of Barskoon village (Issyk-Kul oblast);
  • Preschool orphanage of Belovodskoe village (Chuy oblast);
  • Five single seniors of Bishkek (based on information provided by Social Fund);
  • Five WWII veterans of Bishkek (based on information provided by Veterans 365 social fund);
  • Twenty eight large and poor families (Talas, Naryn and Djalal-Abad oblasts);
  • Twelve orphans (Batken and Djalal-Abad oblasts).
