Bank Kompanion Supports the Values of the International Day of Family Remittances (IDFR-2026)

Every year on June 16, the world marks the International Day of Family Remittances (IDFR), a United Nations-recognized observance dedicated to acknowledging the contributions of millions of migrant workers who support their families and communities through remittances.

For many families, remittances are a vital source of support. They help finance children's education, healthcare, daily living expenses, small businesses, and new opportunities for the future.

Bank Kompanion supports the values of the International Day of Family Remittances (IDFR-2026) and has joined the global initiative recognizing the contribution of migrant workers and their families.

The Bank’s official Endorsement Statement has been published on the website of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

By supporting the values of IDFR-2026, Bank Kompanion promotes accessible and secure financial services for migrant workers and their families.

Today, the Bank’s customers can send and receive international money transfers through several leading payment systems to dozens of countries worldwide via its extensive service network across Kyrgyzstan. Customers also have access to the Bank’s digital products and services, including mobile banking, online payments, and other convenient financial solutions that enable them to manage their finances anytime and anywhere.

Bank Kompanion’s support for migrant families extends beyond financial services. The Bank delivers free educational programs on financial literacy, digital security, agronomy, livestock management, and entrepreneurship development for regional communities and migrant families. These training programs are conducted regularly and reach all regions of the country.

As part of IDFR-2026, Bank Kompanion is also implementing an awareness campaign highlighting the importance of family remittances for household well-being, regional development, and the economic resilience of communities.

“Behind every remittance from labor migrant is a family story, care for loved ones, and a commitment to building a better future for the next generation. We are proud to help our customers stay connected with their families by providing convenient, secure, and accessible financial solutions,” Bank Kompanion representatives noted.

Bank Kompanion remains committed to advancing modern financial services and supporting initiatives that promote financial inclusion, sustainable regional development, and expanded opportunities for families across Kyrgyzstan.
