HOW TO PRESERVE HARVESTS PROPERLY: BANK KOMPANION HELD AN AGRO-TRAINING FOR MIGRANT FAMILIES IN BESH-TEREK
In the village of Besh-Terek, Moskva district, business development officers from the Chui branch of Bank Kompanion conducted a seasonal agro-training for migrant families. The focus of the session was the construction and proper use of cellars for storing harvests.
The training was conducted in a hands-on format. Participants learned which types of cellars are suitable for the local climate, the requirements for ventilation and air ducts, and the correct methods of disinfection.
Special attention was given to details that directly affect food preservation:
- doors should preferably face the sunny side,
- incompatible products must not be stored together (for example, apples and potatoes),
- regular maintenance and treatment of the cellar is essential.
Thus, the families received not only knowledge but also practical recommendations that will help reduce losses and keep products fresh longer.
All training materials were provided in electronic format via QR code, reflecting the values of Bank Kompanion: digital solutions, environmental responsibility, and client convenience.
“Bank Kompanion is always close to the people in the regions. Our mission is not only to be a financial partner but also an expert who shares valuable knowledge. Through digital solutions and simple tools, we jointly support small and medium businesses — the backbone of Kyrgyzstan’s economy,” noted representatives of Bank Kompanion.
