Bank Kompanion Conducted a Seasonal Agro-Training for Residents of Talas Region

In the villages of Bal-Bal and Kum-Aryk of Talas district, a seasonal agro-training was held, organized by the Talas branch of Bank Kompanion for farmers and household owners. The main focus of the training was building storage cellars, harvesting, and proper preservation of crops.

Traditionally, autumn is the season when farmers face critical challenges: how to preserve harvested produce in good condition, minimize losses, and increase profitability. Bank Kompanion experts shared practical recommendations that can be applied even in small farms and household gardens.

Special attention was given to:

- simple and affordable methods of building storage cellars;

- rules of sorting crops to minimize spoilage;

- modern approaches to long-term storage of fruits and vegetables;

- financial literacy for agricultural producers.

“I have been growing potatoes and carrots for many years, but often could not preserve part of the harvest. At the training, I learned simple methods to properly equip a cellar and sort vegetables. This will help keep my produce longer and sell it at a better price. I am grateful to Bank Kompanion for such support,” — shared his impressions Azamat Zhanibek uulu, a farmer from Kum-Aryk village.

Such initiatives are part of Bank Kompanion’s strategy to support regional development and agriculture in Kyrgyzstan. The Bank regularly organizes free agro-trainings across the country, helping farmers adopt modern practices, increase efficiency, and thereby contribute to sustainable economic growth.

Bank Kompanion remains a reliable partner for rural communities, offering not only financial services but also unique expertise in agro-education and farming development.
