IFAD Recognizes Kompanion Bank’s Commitment to Financial Inclusion
We are pleased to share that Kompanion Bank has received an official letter of appreciation from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in recognition of its support for the 2025 International Day of Family Remittances (IDFR).
The letter acknowledges Kompanion Bank’s contribution to advancing the goals of the global campaign “Remittances Financing Development,” which underscores the essential role of remittances in fostering sustainable development, enhancing household resilience, and promoting financial inclusion.
“Thanks to the support of institutions like yours, the campaign achieved global reach: in 2025, it was endorsed by over 30 organizations, including central banks, G20 platforms, UN entities, and private sector actors.
The IDFR 2025 campaign also drew significant public attention, with over 10,000 website visits, 20,000+ social media impressions, and more than 100 mentions in international media.
We are proud to count you among the 8,000 financial service providers and partners who stood in solidarity with migrant workers and their families.
Your leadership and engagement are instrumental in advancing safe, accessible, and inclusive remittance markets — not only in Central Asia, but globally.
We look forward to continued collaboration and shared commitment to sustainable development through remittances,” — the letter states.
The campaign culminated in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, held in Seville from 30 June to 3 July 2025, where global leaders adopted the Compromiso de Sevilla — a renewed international framework for mobilizing remittances and diaspora investment in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Kompanion Bank’s official statement on the occasion of IDFR 2025 has been published on the IFAD website.
