Kompanion organized “Ayil, Alga!” development festival for residents of Jeti-Oguz region

Focusing on the social mission implementation, Kompanion continues promoting the development of communities and applies integrated approach developed to provide financial services and products on business development.

 On August 5, in Komsomol village of Jeti-Oguz region, Issyk-Kul oblast, Kompanion conducted “Ayil, Alga!” next scheduled development festival for communities. This festival directed to improve wellbeing of the local population by enhancement of skills on milk processing and improvement of the cattle breed. Three hundred guests, including residents of twelve villages, representatives of artificial insemination centers and local government authorities visited the event. 

 In terms of the festival, Kompanion’s livestock specialists told about the importance of cattle breed improvement and need of load decrease on pastures near villages, they noted that livestock development, herd expansion play important role in social and economic development of Kyrgyzstan.

Inseminators presented calves raised by artificial insemination to guests and emphasized importance of the appliance of this method to improve productivity of cows of milk and meat directions.

 Representatives of local government authorities highly appraised significance of the festival:

“Now people are changing their consciousness, most of them want to expand the herd, develop meat and milk products. We are glad that the private company organized this festival for local residents. We need such events that enhance people's knowledge of how to improve breeds and produce dairy products,” noted Turganbek Sheripov, Chair of Yrdyk village council.

 Participants of Kompanion’s initiative trainings on livestock production presented home-made dairy products.

“Kompanion’s trainings helped us to increase our processing skills. Cow milk is cheap now. We process milk and sell it in the form of cheese, sour cream and curd. This allows us to get large profit. Now we sell products to our neighbors and local shops. We plan to join forces with neighboring villages and process milk together. Then people will have jobs,” said Venera Jakypbaeva, a resident of An-Oston village.

 Kompanion’s initiative trainings based on ethno-ecological approach allow poor rural population to gain within a year, on a free-of-charge basis, practical skills that improve efficiency of farm management and boost their revenue and welfare. Since the beginning of 2015 Kompanion’s specialists have conducted more than 1,400 trainings in two directions: agronomy and livestock production.
